We are all better together. When the opportunity arose to work together and support members of our community affected by cancer it was a quick 'yes' from all involved. We are thrilled to be bringing local bands, artists, creators and skaters together at Bend Brewing Co to bring awareness and raise funds in support of those that need it. Slappy Hour: A Benefit for those Affected Cancer - will be hosted at Bend Brewing Co Saturday, May 30th. Three local rock bands, 12 local artists and as many skateboarders as possible will gather to support and raise awareness - brought to life by Slappy’s Band member, Jim Stowers. Diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer in May of 2022, Jim has now been in remission and has made it his mission to support the organizations that helped him make it through. Through donations, giveaways, and purchases the event is hoping to raise funds to contribute to three non profits that support families and individuals going through cancer before, during and after.
